September 2008

OMG, my hands are the coolest things I’ve ever seen.

Now what?

Now what?

Now that I’m 12 weeks old, I’m doing things that I couldn’t do when I was a newborn.

I can smile and laugh, and I love doing this every morning with mommy and daddy. I’m also learning to communicate without crying. I can talk to mommy and daddy in coo’s and gurgles. Daddy loves this. My hands and feet, furthermore, are my new favorite toys and tools. Mommy can hand me rattles and other toys.

But most importantly, I am beginning to be able to support myself all on my own. I’ll be sitting up and rolling over in no time. In order to build up my strength, I have to exercise every day. I really enjoy it, take a look:

My Week 12 growth spurt came a little early, catching mommy and daddy off-gaurd.

Mommy thought I was finally becoming a devil child because I stayed up all night for two nights. She even had to go get daddy to help, which I felt was inadvisable.

I basically ate for 72 straight hours. But on the plus side, I came through it a little bigger and a lot more alert. Here’s some proof.

I can now sit up with support and hold my head steady. Plus, I'm super cute.

I love to play with mommy and daddy on my mat downstairs.

All this growing has really worn me out.

Mommy and Daddy decided to take me to the beach for what they kept referring to as Labor Day, which I had previously understood to mean the day I came into this world. It’s OK, Daddy says the world is a confusing place.

We went to Delware. I know, right…Delaware. But it was pretty nice.

I get the feeling that Daddy doesn’t really like the beach. I know Mommy does, though.

This is where we stayed.

Here's me, and a very begrudging Daddy, at the beach.

Daddy is walking me out of the ocean. It was totally weird.

This is my Grandma, uncle Jonathan, and my cousin Lucas at the beach.

Mommy and me at the beach. Meh. Maybe Daddy is right about the beach.

Oh, so this is what you do at the beach. I can get behind this.

I love the Georgia Bulldogs, especially Knowshon. I’m not sure what any of those words mean, but they sound good. Go Dawgs.

Haha, I'm a Dawgs fan. Your team is going to lose.

I can just chill in my UGA dress all day.

Mommy, and daddy, are apparently also Georgia fans. Who knew?

Here I am working out a little, getting pumped up for a game.

Game Face. Bring it, chumps.

I sure am cute, at least that’s what I keep hearing. I think I’ll just let you decide.

Just hanging out.

I can't remember what I was laughing at, but it must have been funny.

Real funny.

OK, show's over.

Mommy just told me the truth about Santa Claus right here. Daddy thought it was a little early.
